How we score the apps

Every number on this site comes from public Shopify App Store listings and reviews. We pulled 73 apps whose main job is A/B testing and read all 1,136 written reviews.

Complaint rates count reviews, not stars

A classification model reads each review and tags it against 12 topics: price, billing, support, setup, the dashboard, flicker, page speed, bugs, reporting, test types, integrations and results. A 5-star review that says "great app, a bit pricey" counts toward the price complaint rate. A 1-star review about a failed install counts toward setup and bugs.

We only show rates for apps with 20 or more written reviews. Below that, one review moves the number by 5 points or more.

Prices use your traffic

Most of these apps charge by monthly visitors or orders. We turned each listing's plans into tiers and pick the cheapest one that covers the numbers in the bar at the top. A price with a + means the listing gives a starting price but no tiers, so your real bill may be higher.

Features come from the listing

We mark a capability when the app's own listing says it can do it. We haven't installed every app, so if a listing undersells itself, so do we. Developers can email us to correct a listing.
